At last night’s School Board Meeting, we had the opportunity to celebrate several outstanding members of our FTCSC Flashes Community and recognize a new addition to our leadership team.
Franklin Central High School’s 4x200M Boys Indoor Track Team was recognized as the Indiana State Champion. Assistant Coach Smith introduced team members Dylan Keck, DJ Mitchell, Rylan Hainje, and Jett Snell, sharing how proud the coaching staff is of their hard work and dedication. Superintendent Dr. Chase Huotari also congratulated the team, noting that this achievement reflects the thousands of hours these student-athletes have committed to training, learning, and growing in their sport. The team now looks ahead to the outdoor track season.
We also recognized New Bethel Elementary School and the Difference Makers who help make it such a special place. Principal Meli Drier highlighted teachers Allison Logan, Leslie Beck, Giennie Dunn, and Erin Worman Rettig, as well as students Maverick Meeks, Carson Anderson, and Bailey Vasquez. Through their involvement in Student Council and the Kindness Club, these individuals make a positive impact each day and help create a culture of care and connection within their school.
In addition, the Board approved Cecilia Goh as the new Assistant Principal at Arlington Elementary School. Mrs. Goh joins FTCSC from Southwestern Elementary School, where she has served in the same role for the past three years. Before that, she worked as a specialized MTSS coach for grades K–5 and has classroom experience teaching grades 2, 4, 5, and 6.
We are proud to celebrate the accomplishments of our students and staff, and we are excited to welcome Mrs. Goh to the FTCSC Flashes Community!
